everyone who menstruates should get paid menstrual leave
I’m not a woman but I do menstruate, and because of my pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome), I get such bad cramps each cycle that I faint and shake and my vision blacks out.
I have stayed at work through this more times than I can count, only leaving (and thus forfeiting wages) when completely unable to stand up and do tasks due to the severity of the pain.
Giving me and people like me paid leave would be such sweet justice.
Please.
even like a day or two for those first days of your period. my period is so heavy and cramps are so bad the first full day.
but then I feel like they’d want to monitor our menstruation cycles or something which would be weird. we should just get extra “sick” days. like once a month we have 3 days we can use if we need.
